- I was Born in Groton, Massachusetts, founded in 1655; I have also lived in Wrightstown, NJ; Augusta, GA; Long Binh, Can Tho and Nha Trang, Vietnam; Pepperell, MA; Nashua, NH; Amherst, NH, Peoria, IL; Carmel, IN; Mishawaka, IN; and Ft. Wayne,IN. I have lived in, worked in or visited 40+ states.
- Member of Committee to preserve and restore the only remaining one-room Schoolhouse in Groton, MA which upon completion will create a living learning museum for Central Massachusetts school systems. While cleaning out a family home in the town several years ago, I rescued, preserved, and am transcribing the only remaining records of daily life in that school.
- As the family genealogist and historian I have traced my ancestors to the founding of the town and their established farms through Land Grants from England’s King George 350 years ago. I am authoring two journals of my family’s life in that town during the 1800’s, one will feature the school and my Grandmother, Mayflower descendant Eva Belle Torrey’s, attendance. The other will be about my great great grandfather and great grandfather’s diaries of life on their 1840-1900 era farm.
